This program is for students in grades 3 to 8 and offers a 1 to 4 tutor to student ratio providing targeted assistance to meet the student’s needs. Sessions are held throughout the academic year (September to November, January to March and March to June) and recent cohorts have achieved a 6% to 18% improvement in the math and reading post-test versus pre-test. Part of the tutoring program includes an enrichment segment where the students participate in a series of discussions centered on Trust, Respect, Responsibility and Diversity, with a focus on developing public speaking and communication skills.
